My name is Joshue Garcia-Espidio. I am 13-years- old and was born in North Carolina, USA. My family is from Mexico and is Hispanic. I like my culture and I’m proud of who I am, and where I’m from. I speak Spanish and learned to speak English in kindergarten. I enjoy making art and being involved in a group of people to support the community. I think unity and coming together, despite the fact that everyone is different, is the best way to help the community.
What I want to see change in the community is getting rid of racism and get people to know where they’re from and what their culture is, because people can’t judge someone if they don’t know who they are or what kind of person they are if you don’t get to meet them.
